Your wedding is one of the most important and magical days of your life. All eyes will be on you as you say “I do” surrounded by your loved ones. But let’s be honest – those final weeks leading up to the big day can be a whirlwind, even with the help of a planner. Finalising last-minute details, dress fittings, making sure every guest is taken care of can leave you feeling worn out. The last thing you want is for that tiredness to show on your face when you should be glowing with joy and looking picture-perfect.

To help you achieve that ultimate bridal glow, we spoke with Mona Sahlabadi, Head of Sales & Communications at Lanserhof at The Arts Club, London’s leading private wellness clinic. Mona shared expert advice on why Intravenous (IV) Infusion therapy is becoming the go-to beauty secret for brides and couples, who want to look and feel their best on their special day. We also explored other treatments at the clinic that can help you reach your peak, just in time for the big day.

Renowned for their advanced technology and personalised care, Lanserhof merges medical expertise with holistic wellness to deliver results that are completely tailored to you. Whether it’s hydration for glowing skin, vitamins for an energy boost, or a little pre-wedding pampering, IV Infusion therapy could be exactly what you need.

Let’s dive into Mona’s expert advice and find out why IV Infusion therapy is the key to getting that radiant bridal glow you deserve!

Q&A with Mona Sahlabadi, Head of Sales & Communications at Lanserhof at The Arts Club

Intravenous (IV) Infusion therapy seems to be all the rage for brides looking to get that “bridal glow.” How does it actually work, and what makes it so effective for someone prepping for their big day?

Mona:  Intravenous Infusion therapy delivers essential vitamins and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system for quicker and more efficient absorption. For brides, this means you can replenish your body with everything it needs to support healthy skin, boost energy, and even manage stress often aiding with sleep quality – all of which contribute to that luminous, radiant look we call the “bridal glow.”

That sounds amazing! What specific ingredients are typically included in these drips to enhance skin health and energy?

Mona: We use a mix of vitamins, minerals and amino acids tailored to the bride’s needs. For instance, vitamin C is essential for collagen production, which keeps the skin firm and bright. B vitamins boost your energy, while biotin strengthens hair, skin, and nails – key areas for a bride! We can also add other antioxidants to reduce oxidative stress, which can dull your skin.

Brides are often stressed in the lead-up to their wedding. Can IV Infusion therapy help with that too?

Mona: Absolutely! One of the most common issues faced by brides is fatigue from all the wedding prep. This treatment can give an immediate energy boost, which can help reduce the impact of stress. In addition, there is magnesium in all our IVs which contributes to better sleep and optimum relaxation – perfect for unwinding before the big day.

That sounds like a bride’s dream. What if someone is looking for that “quick fix” right before the wedding? How soon before the wedding day should a bride start these treatments to see the best results?

Mona: We recommend starting IV Infusion treatments at least three to four months before the wedding to allow your body time to adjust and really reap the benefits. But if you’re looking for a last-minute glow, even one treatment a week or two before your wedding can make a noticeable difference in your skin and energy levels. However, in terms of the frequency of the treatment, this would always be subject to a consultation with our experts to understand what is most suitable for each person’s individual needs.

How long does an IV Infusion therapy treatment typically last, and how soon can someone expect to see results?

Mona: The actual treatment lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the type of infusion you’re receiving. As for the results, many people feel a boost in energy almost immediately after the treatment. Skin improvements, like a brighter complexion and a healthy glow, usually show up within a few days. The effects can last up to a couple of weeks, making it perfect for brides looking to feel and look their best for pre-wedding events and the big day itself.

You offer more than just IV Infusion therapy, including dual experiences for brides and grooms or loved ones. Could you tell us more about how couples can make this a fun pre-wedding activity?

Mona: Yes! A lot of couples are turning these treatments into a shared experience. For example, they can enjoy IV infusion therapy together, followed by a skin analysis or a cryotherapy session. We encourage them to take advantage of our lounge area as well, order a healthy lunch, sip on smoothies, and really make a day of it. It’s a great way to relax together before the big event!

IV Infusion therapy sounds great, but what other treatments would you suggest for couples or anyone who wants to look their best before an event?

Mona: We have several treatments that pair perfectly with our infusion therapy. One of our most popular options for brides and couples is the Seasonal Duet experience. This incorporates Augustinus Bader’s Visia Skin Analysis accompanied with a Seasonal Glow Facial. This treatment is fantastic because it gives you a personalised skin assessment, so we can focus on exactly what your skin needs. The Seasonal Glow Facial then works to enhance your skin’s radiance, leaving you looking fresh and glowing. When you combine this with IV Infusion therapy, you’re getting the ultimate inside-out approach to beauty and wellness. It’s ideal not just for weddings but any special event.

The Visia skin analysis also helps establish if the client has any specific goals prior to their event, allowing the option to create a customised treatment plan to achieve desired results in the specific time frame, as well as monitor the outcomes. This can include instant gratification effects, recommended add on’s to target particular concerns, or even achieve a Lift the day before the special occasion.

IV Infusion therapy sounds perfect for brides, but what about hen parties? Can it help in those situations too?

Mona: Definitely! It is fantastic for hen parties – whether before or after the big night out. If you’re looking to give everyone a boost before going out, we can help with energy and hydration levels, and for the day after, when you’re feeling tired or depleted, it is the perfect recovery treatment. It rehydrates your body, replenishes lost electrolytes, and helps to clear that “morning after” sluggish feeling. Brides and their friends love this because it makes the whole experience more enjoyable without the post-party crash.

Lastly, what advice would you give to a bride who’s considering IV Infusion therapy for the first time but isn’t sure it’s right for her?

Mona: I’d say start with a consultation! We can tailor the treatment to your specific needs, whether it’s energy, skin health, or even just a bit of pre-wedding pampering. It’s a great way to invest in yourself before one of the biggest days of your life. You’ll not only look amazing but feel confident knowing you’ve given your body that extra boost.
