Bella and Lars had their wedding at Starnbergsee Hideaway in Germany in late September in 2021, and the result was simply a spectacular day.

2020/21 was a difficult year for everyone due to the COVID pandemic. However, some couples continued to believe in love and once the situation started to improve, decided to plan a perfect and unforgettable wedding.

Truly magical day at a fairy-tale wedding location

The venue created a beautiful and tranquil setting for Bella and Lars’ fairy-tale wedding. Surrounded by peaceful water with the golden rays of the sun was a simply magical way to celebrate their love and nature, which created a unique experience for them and their guests. The lake and its surroundings created a romantic atmosphere, with an idyllic and natural backdrop that made their outdoor ceremony unforgettable. As the sun set, the lake become a magical backdrop for the fireworks later in the evening.

The Mood

The aim was to create a luxurious and contemporary look, with a classic and timeless feel. To achieve this, we incorporated delicate details and soft floral touches into the design. We were opting for subtle, feminine and effortlessly romantic styling with a mix of classic and modern influences, running through the overall design to evoke feelings of opulence and intimacy.

The Colour Palette

The colour palette was muted, mainly consisting of ivory, nudes, champagne, blush pinks, and dusky pink with a touch of gold to evoke that late summer feel for a classic and elegant wedding.

Dreamy Floral Backdrops

The floral design by Lake Como Florist was elegant, soft and romantic with a natural feel to complement the venue and its surroundings. Pink Phalaenopsis orchids, Gypsophila, David Austin and garden roses were used to create the most romantic floral installation.  

Our favourite feature of the wedding design was the ‘floating’ floral ceremony backdrop serving as the focal point and complementing the magic lakeside scene. The beautiful wedding ceremony floral backdrop featured 7 ‘towers’ consisting of loose, fluffy tuts of baby’s breath adding softness and romantic, ethereal quality. 

To create depth, texture and more visual interest Gypsophila was mixed with other blooms. This flower takes on a wonderful cloud-like quality and has a soft, romantic, ethereal feel making the end result quite dazzling. We wanted it to be magical and feel like exchanging vows above the clouds.

Inviting beautiful and symbolic exquisite blooms into the décor such as Phalaenopsis elevated the style of the wedding. In the floral arrangements clustered pink Phalaenopsis orchids were used together with traditional garden flower like roses to add a different texture and create a modern and striking effect. 

Matching Details

Our event design featured personalised elements such as bespoke couple crest, tailor-made favours adding a unique value, and bespoke floral arrangements creating the wow-factor.

Bespoke invitations with gold foiling and personalised monogram were used to complement the décor. The table decoration and place cards continued the theme of opulence featuring gold foiling and bespoke design elements. 

The stationery radiated romance and sophistication, from the beautiful place cards with handwritten style to the timeless letterpress invitation suite. 

The Dress

Bella made her own grand entrance in a classic lace Elie Saab dress with her father-in-law on a custom-made white aisle that had been decorated with beautiful petals.
